How protection works

Every booking on Dhihvaa includes built-in protections for both hosts and renters. Our security deposit system, user verification, and dispute resolution process work together to keep everyone safe.

For hosts

Security deposit

Hosts can set a security deposit amount for each vehicle. The deposit is held in escrow during the rental and released after a successful return. If damage occurs, hosts can file a claim against the deposit.

Verified renters

All renters must complete ID verification before they can book. This helps ensure accountability and reduces risk.

Damage claims

If your vehicle is damaged during a rental, you can file a dispute with photo evidence. Our team reviews claims and can apply partial or full deposit deductions.

Vehicle insurance

Hosts are encouraged to maintain their own comprehensive vehicle insurance. Dhihvaa does not replace your existing insurance policy.

For renters

Verified hosts

All hosts and vehicles are verified before listings go live. You can trust that the vehicle matches its description.

Secure payments

Your payment is held in escrow and only released to the host after a successful rental. If something goes wrong, you're protected.

Dispute resolution

If you encounter issues during your rental — unauthorized charges, vehicle problems, or disputes with the host — our team mediates and resolves the situation.

Coming soon

We're working on partnering with local insurance providers to offer optional trip insurance directly through the platform. This will provide additional coverage beyond the security deposit for both hosts and renters.
