Cancellation policy

For renters
Cancellation refunds are based on how far in advance you cancel before the pick-up time:
| When you cancel | Refund |
|---|---|
| More than 48 hours before pick-up | 100% refund |
| 24–48 hours before pick-up | 50% refund |
| Less than 24 hours before pick-up | No refund |
| No-show (didn't pick up) | No refund |
* Service fees are non-refundable for cancellations made less than 48 hours before pick-up.
For hosts
If a host cancels a confirmed booking:
- The renter receives a full refund regardless of timing
- Frequent host cancellations may result in listing penalties or suspension
- Hosts are encouraged to keep their availability calendar up to date to avoid conflicts
How to cancel
- Go to your Dashboard → Bookings
- Find the booking you want to cancel
- Click "Cancel booking" and confirm
- Refunds are processed automatically based on the policy above
Extenuating circumstances
In cases of emergencies, natural disasters, or other extraordinary situations, we may override the standard cancellation policy. Contact contact@dhihvaa.mv with details and we'll review your case.
Early returns
If you return a vehicle earlier than planned, refunds for unused days are not automatically granted. You can submit an early return request through your booking, which the host can approve. If approved, a partial refund will be processed.
